Surprise!

We had a huge surprise on Friday. Eric, our soldier that we have been writing to this year was home on furlough and decided to come and visit us! He brought us flags and suckers. Thank you Eric for all you do, the great sacrifice you are making. We love you and pray for you and your safety. Thank you also to Kiersten, Eric's girlfriend, who has to wait patiently for him to return home! We love you both!

Sorry!

So sorry about not posting in such a long time. My email account was hacked and it took me a while to work out the glitches. Hope they are all good now.

These last few weeks have been wonderful. I love this time of year because we can really see the progress we have made all year and it is exciting to see these little minds starting to click. Being a teacher is the absolute best thing!

I hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break, and we will see you on the 28th, ready to finish this school year up!

These pictures are from our Valentines Day Party. I love these kids!

100th Day Activities

Oh the 100th day happened a while ago, sorry, but boy did we have a good time!

First we went out and watched as the kindergarteners let 100 balloons go. It was great!

Then we did a lot of counting to 100 activities. We drew 100 legs on centepedes, counted out 100 fruit loops, then made fruit loop necklaces. We also saw how long 100 cookies looked laid side by side.

We are getting ready for Valentines Day. Please don't send any valentines until Monday. We get a little pre-occupied with those instead of school it seems! Monday at 1:30 we will have a little Valentines Day party where the kids will hand out their Valentines. If you have small wrapped treats you would like to send in that would be great also.

Lots of pictures will follow for that!

Stuff

This is just some stuff we have been doing lately. Cutest kids in the whole world!

The custodian at our school found some things for the kids to sled with. They sure had fun!

The more hands on the better!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are enjoying your extra long weekend!

We are going to start looking forward to our 100th day of school. It will be next Tuesday, and we will be doing lots of counting activities! Can't believe we are there already! Then we only have 86 days until summer...wow! Where has it gone?

This week we are learning about "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and more about dinosaurs. Man, dinosaurs are cool!

Thanks for all you are doing to help your child learn. Continued help with letters and sounds, reading nightly and working on their homework packets will be so helpful.

Have a wonderful week!
