Hi Everyone,
We had a fun week last week. The high school Strings came and performed for us, and now everyone wants to play the bass when they grow up. We also looked forward to the Carnival which was last Friday night. Hope everyone had a chance to go. It was a great turn out and a lot of fun!
This week we are looking forward to hearing from Jackelin as our special person. We celebrated Austin’s birthday today and we will celebrate Mrs. Hamilton’s birthday on Thursday. Also, it is Early Release again this Friday so don’t forget.
Our Spelling Words this week will be emphasizing the “oo” sound as in Look:
Look
Too
Took
Good
Soon
Food
Shook
School
Study those spelling words and please read with your children every night. They are all ready to move on next year to First Grade. They have come a long way, and we will miss them!

Hi Everyone,
We are winding down our year so quickly. Time just goes too fast doesn’t it? This week we will be reading a book about a little chick who loses his mother called “A Mother for Choco”. This little bird is looking for a family and is surprised to find that a “home” can sometimes be in a non-traditional setting.
Our spelling words are a little easier this week and emphasize the long “y” sound:
My
Cry
By
Try
Fly
Sky
Why
July
Spelling scores went way up this last week. Thank you for helping your children study!
Our Special Person this week is Gary. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Have a nice week.

Hi Everyone,
Did you have a nice Easter weekend? Besides the snow it was nice, wasn’t it. We decided that our kids needed another week on their spelling words, these words are a little bit harder than they are used to.
Our spelling words again for this week are:
Each
Clean
Out
Scream
Please
Mean
Read
Seat
Please help your students study them!
We sent home a note earlier requesting empty baby food jars. We are doing a special art project with these so if any of you have some lying around and would like to donate them to us we would sure appreciate it!
Our special person this week is Garrett! We can’t wait to hear from you Garrett! Look forward to learning more about you.
I will be gone Thursday and Friday. I have to take my daughter back up to college in Idaho for the summer semester (sad day ☹), Mrs. Beal will be our substitute, and of course Mrs. Hamilton will still be here.
We will be learning all about plants this week in Science; how they grow, why we need them, etc.
We only have 5 short weeks of school left! Where has the year gone? We will make every minute count with these kids, they are the best!
