Valentines Party

Thanks to all of you wonderful parents who are always so willing to help. Our Valentines Party was so fun and successful. Special thanks to Mrs. McCall, Mrs. Oakes, Mr. Tullous, Ms. McCall, Mr. Sloan, Mrs. Burk and Mrs. Davis. We had a GREAT time!

February 9-13

Dear Parents,
This week we will be reading the story “The Very Hungry Catepillar”. We will be talking a lot about caterpillars and butterflies. Our spelling words this week will be emphasizing the short u sound as in run:

Up
But
Cup
Bug
Fun
Our special person this week is Miguel.
We are gearing up for Valentines Day, and will have a party Friday afternoon. If you would like to send any wrapped candy in that would be great!
We have been having a blast learning about the ocean and all the cool creatures that live there! This week we will be learning all about Octopus’!

Feb. 2-6

This week we are beginning a unit on the Ocean and we will be learning about it all month. We will be concentrating on whales and dolphins this week.
We will also be gearing up for Valentines Day. I will send home a class list sometime this week so the students can begin working on their Valentines.
Our special person of the week will be Kade.
We will be reading "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", and our spelling words will be emphasizing the short i sound:
